About us

The CEESTAHC Association is a Polish non-governmental organization (NGO) operating continuously since 2003 in the field of public health and medicine. Our mission is to integrate the environments that create healthcare systems in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe in order to exchange information, education, transfer experiences and implement joint scientific programs in order to improve patient care and effective disease prevention, based on reliable research and scientific evidence.
We are pioneers of education in the field of EBM and HTA in our part of Europe. We cooperate with all environments that create the healthcare system - from patient organizations, through clinicians and scientific societies, to decision-makers at local and central level. We organize conferences, trainings, consultations, system analyses and scientific programs. We make the results of analyses and templates of health policy programs publicly available.
We regularly and freely share the results of all our projects, divided into the following sections:
- Reports
- Health policy programs
- Books
The growing interest in the subject of health market economics inspired us to start publishing. We have organized a self-sufficient editorial and publishing team, which has developed two titles so far. The books constitute the publishing series Library-File CEESTAHC:
- Pricing. Prices of reimbursed medicines, negotiations and risk sharing
- Health insurance and benefit baskets. Overview of solutions
The cooperation with Local Government Units that began in 2009 is one of our key activities.
We started with individual consultations on health programs. Currently, our achievements include several nationwide projects dedicated to local governments.
The cooperation resulted in the creation of 13 model health policy programs and over 80 local government conferences held throughout Poland.
The conferences history calendar is available on our website dedicated to individual projects: projekty.ceestahc.org/kalendarium
