Our activities

We have been training and conducting workshops since 2003. Since 2006, we have been organizing the annual EBHC Symposium. An essential element of our work are research projects and system reports. At the same time, since 2009, we have begun cooperation with local governments and support the development of public health programs (including health policy programs).

HTA

Informing decision-making to promote an equitable, efficient, and high-quality health system, HTA is a multidisciplinary process that uses explicit methods to determine the value of a health technology at different points in its lifecycle. A health technology is an intervention developed to prevent, diagnose, or treat medical conditions; promote health; provide rehabilitation; or organize healthcare delivery. Evidence-Based Medicine (EBM) is the application of the best available research to clinical care, which requires integrating scientific evidence with clinical knowledge and patient values. EBHC Symposium

The EBHC Symposium is a platform for the exchange of knowledge, experiences and a meeting place for scientists, decision-makers and patients. By implementing evidence-based practices, it is possible to provide high-quality, effective and patient-oriented care. Regularly updating knowledge and skills, following the latest research and engaging in a continuous learning process and its improvement is our goal. top

20th International EBHC Symposium

Evidence-driven, HTA-proven

For the twentieth time, we are organizing our annual International EBHC Symposium. We invite you to Kraków to participate in person. The course of the Symposium will also be available online. Information about previous editions of the Symposium can be found in the Previous editions tab.

In 2025, we will host the Mercure Kraków Stare Miasto hotel. The hotel is located right next to the Kraków Główny Railway Station. There is a fast suburban railway from the station to the Kraków Balice airport terminal - journey time: 17 minutes.

CEESTAHC has knowledge and experience and cooperates with experts in Poland and around the world in the following areas:

analysis of international solutions in the area of health
conducting scientific and research studies on health and social needs in health care
assessment of the implementation of systemic changes in the area of reimbursement of services, including medicines and medical devices
designing, conducting and developing reports from qualitative and quantitative research
organizing conferences and workshops with the participation of various stakeholders

Courses

Training courses was the first type of our activity. We are pioneers of training in the field of EBM and HTA, pricing and training of local governments in the development of public health programs.

The advantage of our training is not only the important and current issues, but also the fact that the trainers are top-class practitioners who not only provide theoretical knowledge, but also share their experience in creating HTA and EBM documentation with the training participants.

Local Government Academy

The cooperation with Local Government Units (LGUs) that began in 2009 is one of our key activities. We started with individual consultations on health programs.

Currently, our portfolio includes several nationwide projects dedicated to local governments. The cooperation resulted in the creation of 13 model health policy programs and over 80 local government conferences held throughout Poland.

Publications

We regularly and freely share the results of all our projects, divided into three sections: reports, reviews and expert opinions. A special place among the publications is occupied by health policy programs, which are the fruit of our many years of cooperation with local governments.
